SHASTA

Evaluation Board for Dual sxW2 Design

Shasta is a fully featured evaluation board, based on the sxW2 Advanced Geometry Processor IC from GEO Semiconductor. This board enables rapid evaluation and design of video systems that provide sophisticated warping capabilities for resolutions up to 2560×1600 using two sxW2 ICs per board. The board is designed with a high degree of flexibility, to allow correction algorithms to be easily reviewed and complete systems to be prototyped. The Shasta offers high speed dual-link iTMDS ports at the input and output, enabling it to interface directly to an existing platforms and provide pre or post geometry processing. The advanced geometry processor provides high-precision rotation and alignment of the individual color channels. The Shasta serial port headers for external control and communication. The ICs on board accept system code/data via parallel Flash or serial SPI Flash, and the board can be configured to work with either type of Flash. The board is equipped with generous amounts of DDR2 and Flash to enable a wide range of functionality to be evaluated. The Shasta board comes complete with application-level development tools.
