Evaluation Board for GEO -- Geometry Processing IC
Tahoe is a fully featured evaluation board which enables rapid evaluation and design of video systems with the GEO Advanced Geometry Processor. The board is designed with a high degree of flexibility, to allow correction algorithms to be easily reviewed and complete systems to be prototyped. Tahoe contains high speed iTMDS ports at the input and output, enabling it to interface directly to an existing platform and provide pre or post geometry processing. It also includes high speed breakout connectors for GEO's 60-bit input and output video buses, giving designers the flexibility to connect external components directly to the chip. The advanced GEO processor provides high-precision rotation and alignment of the individual color channels. Tahoe contains two serial port headers and a Two Wire Interface (TWI) slave connector for external control and communication. GEO needs either parallel Flash or serial SPI Flash, and the Tahoe board can be configured to work with either type of Flash. In addition, the board includes an SPI slave header which allows the embedded firmware to be loaded directly to memory from an external controller. The board is equipped with generous amounts of DDR2 and Flash to enable a wide range of functionality to be evaluated. Tahoe comes complete with application-level development tools.
